Manolo Jiménez continue with his bright start and his team, AEK Athens defeated Panathinaikos by 1-0 in the most prestigious match of the Greek League. AEK beat Panathinaikos thanks to a goal by Rafiq Djebboura in the fourth minute. It was Panathinaikos's first league defeat this season and thanks to the victory AEK has jumped to third place in the Greek Super League table.
"He is still returning to form after spending a long while without regular play. However, he has shown today that he can be a helpful asset to AEK. He has a future here."I'm very happy with him. He is showing me that he is serious about becoming a regular contender for a spot here", Jiménez said after the match.
