Twice defending champions Mahram moved closer to a three-peat, but only after surviving a few scares in the Game 2 of the Iranian Super League Finals against last year’s runners-up Zob Ahan on Tuesday. Zob, who had lost to the Game 1 on Monday made a fervent attempt to restore parity, but Mahram’s deeper bench strength combined with that of Zob’s own foul-prone end-game proved decisive. Mahram won 95-92 with a great performance of Cheikh Samb. The You First player led Mahram’s rebounds with 9 collections, to go with his 11 points, 1 assistant and 2 blocks.
