Unicaja Malaga lands E.J. Rowland

Unicaja Malaga has announced today the signing of EJ Rowland for the next two seasons. The You First player will play with Bulgarian national team the next European Championship in Lithuania. Rowland (1.88 meters, 28 years old) arrives from Italian side Vanoli Cremona, where he averaged 13.9 points, 3.8 assists and a league-best 2.9 steals in 30 games last season.

He has also played for Telekom Baskets Bonn and Artland Dragons in Germany, Barons/LMT Riga in Latvia, Sydney Kings and Townsville Crocodiles in Australia, as well as for Florida Flame in the NBA Development League. Rowland helped Artland to win the German Cup title in 2008. He has also been a member of the Bulgarian national team and played at EuroBasket 2009. Rowland will arrive in Malaga on Wednesday and join the Bulgarian national team pre-EuroBasket camp right after that.
