A trio of Great Britain Under-20s have been called up to the Great Britain Senior Men’s squad, whose training camp opens this weekend. Devon Van Oostrum, Alex Marcotullio and Ryan Richards have all got the call-up, after impressive performances at the Division B European Championships in Sarajevo (Bosnia).
Van Oostrum led the tournament in assists at 5 per outing, along with 13.1 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.4 steals. This will be Van Oostrum’s second year at the Senior camp, and he now feels better prepared having been there before. Speaking to Hoopsfix said: "I’m excited, I know what it’s about now which will help me out. No nerves, just gonna go out there and give it my all. I want to make sure this is a successful summer, under-20s didn’t go as planned, but I’ve got a second chance here to redeem myself.”
