Wizards’ Trevor Booker to play in Israel during lockout

Wizards forward Trevor Booker has signed a contract to play basketball next season with Israel's Bnei HaSharon, his agent, Andy Miller, confirmed on Thursday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed but Miller said the deal has an out clause for him to return to the team whenever the lockout is resolved. Booker, a 6-foot-7, high-energy forward, averaged 5.3 points and 3.9 rebounds during his rookie season in Washington. His season ended in March after he suffered a broken right foot, but he has since recovered. Booker is the first Wizard to sign abroad in the wake of the lockout.
