Sevilla goalkeeper Javi Varas has signed a two-year extension to his contract with the Primera Division outfit. Varas, 29, is now tied to the Andalusian club until June 2015 and his new deal has a buy-out clause of 20million euros (£17.5million).
Varas said on Sevilla's official website: "It's an important day for me and my family. What has led to this situation is my work and my professionalism and I thank the club for rewarding me for the job I've done and for keeping confidence in me.''
