Manolo Jiménez has been appointed Real Zaragoza coach until the end of the campaign, replacing Javier Aguirre. He will take charge at Zaragoza until the end of the season.
The 47-year-old former Sevilla FC boss returns to his native Spain after a 12-month spell with AEK Athens FC, which brought the 2011 Greek Cup, ended in October. The former international full-back led Sevilla to third in the Liga in 2008/09, reaching the UEFA Champions League round of 16 the following season.
