Thunder guard Eric Maynor undergoes successful knee surgery

Oklahoma City Thunder backup point guard Eric Maynor has had successful surgery to repair a right knee injury that will keep him out for the season. Maynor was hurt during the fourth quarter of Oklahoma City's win at Houston on Jan. 7. The team announced that he had surgery Wednesday morning and should be ready for training camp before next season.

Maynor was averaging 4.2 points and 2.4 assists this season as the primary backup to All-Star Russell Westbrook. Maynor finished each of his first two NBA seasons in the top 10 in the league in assist-to-turnover ratio. He had averaged more than three assists for every turnover both seasons.
