CB Granada have swooped to sign Australian forward Aleks Maric who also qualifies as an Croatian through his parents. He is 23 years old and has played in the NBA Summer leagues having graduated from the University of Nebraska. The Aussie is an International with the gold and green team and having turned down a number of big offers from across Europe he joins two high profile International team-mates in the ACB this season with David Anderson having signed with Barca and Daniel Kickert in Granca. New head coach of the Nazari Trifon Poch has described his player as very solid with a lot of consistency, a big capacity to rebound, tough and the potential to be a big help to the team this season. The Nazari fans will certainly look forward to Maric linking up with Curtis Borchardt if their talisman finally recovers from his injury problems.
