Forward Christian Eyenga Congolese (Kinshasa, 06/22/1989) has become the new Cleveland Cavaliers player after signing a guaranteed two-year contract with an option for two more. Before signing it has reached an agreement with DKV Joventut to terminate its relationship with the Catalan side.
Eyenga, 21-year-old, was selected in the NBA 2009 by the Cavs in the number 30th. Eyenga is in Cleveland since last month and has been disputing Summer League in Las Vegas. The U1st Sports's player has averaged 11.4 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1 cap per game.
Eyenga wants to "thanks Joventut. I have growed as a player and as a person in Joventut and I can only have words of appreciation for all coaches, managers, employees, partners and supporters". Eyenga added that "sign for the Cavaliers is a big step in my career. I've always dreamed of being part of an NBA team and the Cavaliers showed that they believe in me when I was selected in the draft 2009. I know that I have much to prove and now all I want is to work hard to earn a place in the best league in the world".
